About Waterbury LEAP Waterbury LEAP (Local Energy Action Partnership) is one of roughly 100 Vermont town energy committees and is considered one of the most active and productive such organizations in the state. LEAP's mission is to "engage our community in reducing carbon emissions and promoting energy efficiency and the use of renewable resources in Waterbury and the surrounding area." LEAP has set a very ambitious goal - to help Waterbury, Vermont become a model "green" community within ten years (by 2019). To help us achieve this goal we have become a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and have hired a part-time Waterbury Energy Coordinator. From the very beginning LEAP has been fueled by the energy and ideas of local volunteer members. Would you like to become a LEAP volunteer? Can you make a donation to support our work? Do you have ideas for projects we should consider? Please get in touch with us. We'd love to hear from you!
